Alternatives to skiing in Flachau

The possibilities for an exciting day off the slope are endless: Try cross country skiing on one of our perfectly prepared slopes, sledding and sleighing on different, natural and artificial, toboggan runs, dreamy snowshoe hikes or relaxation at Therme Amadé.
Cross country skiing in Flachau
In Flachau and the surrounding area, there are about 220 km of perfectly prepaired cross country slopes for the classical style as well as skating. The entrance to the slope is about 5 minutes by foot from our houses. Detailed maps with different routes are available at the tourist office Flachau. Sport Fischbacher offers best equipment and a discount of 10 % for our guests.
Romantic horse sleigh rides
How do you feel about a horse sleigh ride through the snow-covered winter wonderland that is the valley of Flachau? Protected from the cold by warm and cozy blankets, you will enjoy a romantic ride. Don't forget to plan a stop at one of the rustic huts for some "glühwein" and a snack. Special tip from us: Plan your horse sleigh ride shortly before nighfall.
Sledding and sleigh rides
Try one of our 4 sled runs, during the day or in the evening. You can get to your starting point either by foot or by a sled taxi. After a short rest and a snack at one of the rustic huts, start for a wild ride down the hill, by daylight or with lights in the afternoon. Sleighs can be rented directly at the huts.
Winter hiking and snowshoeing
Hike through untouched snow without a sound: Numerous well marked hiking trails offer an opportunity for relaxation and awe. Leave your everyday routine behind with the sparkling snow and the warm rays of winter sun. And don't forget to grab a drink or snack afterwards in one of the many huts and mountain restaurants of Flachau.
